NEW RELEASES AND A FREEBIE

What a beautiful week we have had this week!! It is the middle of Autumn and yet it feels like spring....apart from all of those dang leaves everywhere!! The kids have been enjoying them though, and despite us all suffering from colds and coughs at the moment, the warm weather had allowed us to still spend time outside.

I would like to say a big thank you to Natasha (bcnatty) and Kristine (FLteacher). They have both been wonderful members of my CT and I am so sad to say goodbye to them both. Thanks guys...it was so great to have you aboard and I wish you both all the best with your future ventures!!

Don't forget, I have a CT Call out at the moment and I now have 3 places to fill!! Please send a short bio and a link to your best gallery to breezas28@hotmail.com if you wish to apply!!

30 FREE PHOTO ACTIONS!!

I have to tell you that I have recently started using Photoshop. I am absolutely loving it!! One of the coolest things about it is all of the actions you can get. I've been using quite a few lately, they really can change a ho-hum photo into a WOW photo!! I was just going through the SnapandScrap forums today, and found this link (thanks Gill) to 30 FREE PHOTO ACTIONS!!

Here is an example of what these actions can do with just a click of the mouse.

BEFORE

AFTER

I used the 'SUNSHINE IN YOUR HAND' action for this photo and the results speak for themselves!!

You can download the free actions here.

I just finished a new layout. I used one of the actions on this photo too, but I can't remember which one sorry!!

I used:-
Renewal Freebie Kit - Michelle Coleman (http://www.littledreamerdesigns.com/)

Promise Freebie Kit - The Shabby Princess (http://www.theshabbyprincess.com/)

Painted Season Freebie Kit - Miss Mint (http://www.peppermintcreative.com/)

Loveable Kit - Michelle Coleman (http://www.littledreamerdesigns.com/)

You may have noticed a change in my scrapping style lately. I haven't actually changed my style, more as gone back to it. I think I may have gotten a little caught up in the whole 'less is more' style and once you do that, it is suprisingly difficult to get back into scrapping with elements. I had actually forgotten how much fun it can be to use all of the fun elements that are around. So you may still see the occasional minimalistic layout from me, but I really have grown quite bored with it and will be trying to develop better skills using elements from now on!

Now that I have stopped hosting challenges on my blog, I have started to try my hand at some of the cool challenges in the snapandscrap forum. If you are looking for a REAL challenge, go and join in the Add-It-On Challenge, or this month's Colour Challenge!! You can find them and a whole heap more at http://www.snapandscrap.net/ in the forums. Plus, you get a download from the monthly teamkit for every challenge that you enter!!!!

It's been a while, but I finally have a little freebie for you!!

You can download it HERE.

Hope you like it!!

I also wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to Kami for being a wonderful CT member and support for me. Kami is taking a bit of a break and will no longer be a member of the Scrap'it Team.

Cheers,

Bree :)

No More Challenges

Ok, I've decided not to continue with the challenges. There's just not enough interest any more. I will still post some freebies as I make them and check in every now and then to bore you with my life!!

Cheers,

Bree

Small Freebie & Challenge

Hi! I'm so sorry that I haven't been keeping my blog ticking over like I used to. I'm just trying to get settled into a routine with all of the extra stuff I've taken on in the last month. Not to mention that it is school holidays at the moment, so it's a little crazy around here. The temperature has dropped like a sack of bricks (not that I'm complaining, it's better than the heat) but there hasn't been much we've been able to do, mainly indoor activities. We did make it to the movies twice though. We went to see Horton Hears A Who and The Spiderwick Chronicles...loved them both, especially Spiderwick!! Now we are eagerly awaiting the opening of The Chronicles of Narnia ~ Prince Caspian, can't wait for that one....I'm worse than the kids. If you hadn't figured it out yet, .....My Name is Brianna Cox and I am a Movie-o-holic....lol.

We had a lovely Easter, although my diet did go out the window after 8 weeks of being so good!! Oh well. SH!! I did get some awesome photos of the 2 girls on Easter morning. I've only scrapped 2 so far, but I have some even better ones still waiting!!

I used: Heavily Distressed Word-Art (coming soon to Snap and Scrap) and my new Rouge Noir Kit in store now.

I used:- Mauve Diamonds pp from my Dusty Roses Kit (in store now) and script brush french from my new Rouge Noir Script Brushes (in store now), Font - Euphorigenic by Larabie Fonts.
The Rouge Noir range has just been added to the store and is now available for purchase

I also have a 2 word-art packs going in the store on 11/4/08. Here is a preview of the distressed version, there is also a solid version.

I also have a new font that is coming soon to the Snap and Scrap store.

In honour of my new font fetish, I am giving away my 1st ever Font Freebie. The Challenge for this post is to create a lo using a font in a creative way. It doesn't have to be the freebie, it can be any font you like and as many fonts as you like. You must include at least 50 words of journaling. The title, date stamps and captions do not count towards the word count. You may only use 1 photo, you can use that one photo as many times as you like, so long as it is the same photo. THIS CHALLENGE WILL BE RUNNING FOR 2 WEEKS. I will close the challenge on 18/4/08 and post a voting poll that will run for 3 days. The winner will receive a copy of my Heavily Distressed Word-Art Vol 1, my new Scrap'it Folly Font and a copy of my Rouge Noir Script Brushes.......big prize, so really let your creativity flow!! Here's the freebie.

You can download it here.

Okay, that's it for now....have fun!!

Cheers :)

And The Winner Is..............

Okay, so the votes have been counted!! It was looking to be a 3 way tie, but over night (for me it was night anyway), a clear winner has emerged with 52% of the votes!! Michelle (TellBell) has won with her 'PURE MAGIC' layout.Congrats Michelle on a fabulous page!! You have won a complete copy of my Gelati Kit! I'll PM you with the links!! Thanks again to everyone that took part in the challenge, you did some amazing pages!! I had a ball doing my page, I love a challenge that is a real challenge and gets you thinking.

Don't forget that my brand new kit 'DUSTY ROSES' has just hit the store, so go and take a look, there is a link to Snap and Scrap on the sidebar!!

You can purchase the complete kit or the just paper pack with a whopping 16 papers!!

Kami has a great new kit over at ACOT called 'NATURE'S BEAUTY'. I had a heap of fun using it for this page yesterday.

I'm taking a little break over the Easter Weekend, so I will post a freebie and a challenge at the start of next week! I wish you all a very Happy and SAFE Easter break! Take some time to relax with family and friends and be sure to take heaps of beautiful photos to scrap afterwards!!!

Cheers :)
